I just inherited a used sp-404 and am pretty sure it's in a-ok condition but there's one significant problem: no matter what external source the sound input's out of, I only have sound coming out of the sampler in the left line, on headphones and stereo speakers (with an amp, the sound is just 'half-there'). I'm not sure if I'm missing something simple but any help be much appreciated. Cheers.

what kind of cables are you using to hook these up? make sure any 1/8 or 1/4 inch jack end of the cable or the adapter you might be using has 2 rings that means stereo sound
