Hallo.
I want to buy sp 404 sampler, but there's some things I want to ask:

1. Is it possible to record live improvisation with sp 404 and to get good quallity wav file to laptop with the connection: sp 404 line out's >>tascam us 122l line in's>>laptop through usb connection?

2. If I will buy Rode M3 mic and connect it to sp 404, the record will be good quallity with the noise only from m3, or the will be noise from sp 404?
'Couse I want to use sp 404 to record quite good quallity field recordings.

i wouldn't say that the 404 would introduce noise unless you used the onboard mic, not that mic is bad but it's not the best either. the 404 is great but not really that prtable for field recording.

one option would be a dedicated field recorder: zoom and edirol make very good ones with great mics but actually there many to choose from as of late that would transfer via usb directly and probably have more options for sound quality. these would also fit in your pocket.

actually you could most likely buy the zoom h2 and sp-404 for around 500+ dollars.

on the flip side the original idea would sound good as well it would be more weight/space/gear to lug around though.

finally don' forget you can just convert files on the 404 directly to wav and import to pc via card reader.
