i'm getting a 404sx on wendesday. i know from past sp use the isolator can replace a hi-pass filter, wondering if there are other alternatives on the machine. i'm planning on putting most (if not all) my samples through my sampletrak for pitch shifting, which has high-pass anyway, but i'd like to know what the sx can do.

high pass, not low pass. ;)

Isolator is pretty much your best bet. EQ to a small degree, but what's missing in all HP alternatives is the resonance. Best to do all your HP shit on the zoom before running it back to the SP.

Yo- All of those are capable of hi pass- ie. cutting lows out.

Well it is a sweep-able band pass really but has same, er similar effect when freq is above the lows. Can be very harsh as it is a narrow band freq booster essentially.
