hi all,

newbee question..
when a play back a pattern can I modify a sample (to be layered on the pattern in a second moment) without triggering it? for example turn its volume to zero so to be able to fade it in on the pattern once triggered?
thanks a lot

Will help if I can, but I just got my MKII so I'm just getting used to it myself. Off' the top of my head though, what you describe sounds as if it's something the new, updated DJ mode might come in useful for, so might be a good idea to look into some videos about that feature (videos since the 2.0 update).

In pitch/speed mode, you can hold “mark” and select a pad without triggering it. You can adjust the volume from there.

OR

encoder button+pad of your liking.

Wasn't aware of that, will have to give it a try later and you just reminded me I'll have to take a look at Near Tao's guide as well now that I have a MKII.
