i contacted someone here in france to get this little beast for 50€. no acdc adaptor, no manual and, naturally, no smartmedia.
but i don't care.
i need a battery powered sampler after selling the sp-404 and this, with the yamaha su10, is on the top of my thoughts.

cheers!!!

for now i'm just buying the su10 wich has, i think, few and better editing possibilities, a primitive sequencer too and midi in/out.
the sp-202 rest however in my list....but the smartmedia-thing is rare and expensive, s**t...

hmm the su10 actually looks pretty nice. i wonder what 'low quality' and 'short' samples means. i'm trying hard to get my friend in japan to purchase a 404 but he also needs a hardware midi sequencer just as much. not sure what to reccomend...

hi kel
yes finally i ordered the su10.
this machine has possibilities.
listen, it has:a Split function (a sort of primitive chop funtion), a Copy function (copy a sample between pads), a Move function (like the exchange function in the sps), a Start Point function (you can choose and change - live!- the start point of a loop with the ribbon...think about what you can do with some big fat drum loops!...), a Pitch Scale function (like the mpc1000 16 levels or the zoom st-224 scale fx but limited to low notes...),an Alternate Group function: like the mpc group function, a Loop Point function:old school looping -you can choose to make the end point infinite and others.
with this machine you cannot expand (the little) memory, but for what i have to do with it's enough.
i think that saving samples is the real shit with this machine. with also the limited features when you sample at High quality.
i will see.
ah,i forget to say that it has also midi in/out...not bad at all indeed.
and not to talk about its primitive (but useful) sequencer...

cheers

you know what?
i couldn't resist.
i finally order the sp-202 also! only 50€, listen, it's ok!
like this i will have a supe combo with batteries: the su10 edit better than the sp-202 but this last works better live/fx.
