Whats up guys? Are there more differences than the 8000 has optional vga out and the case is a little different. I know the 8000 does not have a color screen.
I think the mv8800 has more samples on board from the factory.

Any one have anything else?

I would recommend going for the mv8800 if you can, the small differences do influence the work-flow for quite a bit.

If budget is really an issue, go with the MV8000. It's software is basically the same as the mv8800's, minus only a few small things, like auto zero-crossing (which is a non-issue with properly chopped samples), sample fading (which can be done with the envelopes anyway).

Basically the biggest advantage is having the colorscreen, VGA and mouse options right out of the box. Loading times are slightly faster on the MV8800 also.

But don't fool yourself, the MV8000 in essence is just as good as the MV8800 having the same amount of midi and audio tracks, sampling and more importantly sequencer capabilities.

You'll like it, whether mv8k or mv8800. ;)
