Nothing comes to mind but I'd search around on archive.org they got all kinds of old shit. I got alot of cylinder recordings from the 40s off there that i've been diggin through.

Try googling Irish drinking songs or music. I think this might be the sound you're searching for?

had some friends who made their millions busking with this kind of stuff. i donno if it's obvious, but try searching for keywords like:
shanties, reels, and traditionals.

you could also go to groups like the pogues, and see who they covered.

maybe lame suggestions. hope it helps.

If you are looking for mandolins, Look up bill monroe. He was known as the Father Of The Mandolin.

As for accordians, check out http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepage ... istory.htm

There are a lot of good players on here.[/i]
