what is the most obscure record you have found? where'd you find it?

mine is one aptly labeled "German Beer Drinking songs" every song sounds exactly the same and seems like it would be played at Darth Vaders bachelor party.
i got it from a dead ladies house i was paid to clean out...i get evil vibes just playing it

i got a few weird ones but the rarest i think and weirdest one, is this EXXON 1976 convention record...it apparently features some musical executives of that time hehe...they sing about some messed up stuff! its real crazy record...one song is all about the government standing in the way of big business efficiancy....the songs are absolutly ridiculous..almost scary...and its probably some kinda sublinibal shit hehe..no but really you can look it up on google.

I got a record from this one lady I knew from a friend, and she let me keep a record on "how to train your parrot to talk", so you hear these phrases like "Gimme a kiss, watch the birdie, etc". I don't think I have it anymore though.

hahaha I got that record the other day for 50 cents. shit's pretty funny. I gotta get back home to really see what my most obscure one's are, but that teach your parrot to talk one is one of 'em. I have some old Turkish Folk song 45's my mom pressed back in the day that are pretty out there and old sound effects records that have some pretty damn weird sounds on there. I'll go find my most obscure one later... hah

my rarest record is probably my aunt's high school cheerleaders doing various cheers. they only pressed a few i'm sure... but there are cool samples of a bunch of girls screaming 1,2,3! and spelling the name of the school S.H.A.D.L.E.!!! and stomping feet, clapping hands

I picked up a old Bloopers record, instructional Spanish course record, and even a breakdance instructional record at the thrift store for 3 bucks.

A private press joint from '74(the year i wa born) by a kansas state university jazz band i found in a lawrence,ks (ku university)dollar bin 2 years ago..with an 8 minute wah guitar/rhodes/bass/cymbals-brushes song that pete rock would salivate over--saving the beat-i've made like 5 of them from this one song, all completely different, not sure which one to use- for my next album for a song about my history in hip hop-which had it's main roots on a k-state underground hip hop show my dj and i had in the mid-90's. these are the types of things that let me know things really do happen for a reason...if you have faith..........

Picked up an album titled Sonambient by sculpter Harry Bertoia for $20 or $25 in '99. More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonambient

A pretty bizarre record to say the least. Lots of reverberating metallic sounds that apparently were produced by playing his sculptures as instruments. Quite an ambitious concept.

I just got an interesting one that has recordings from inside a pregnant woman's womb. Her pulse sounds like the "Wu" chant in Clan in the Front lol.

i've got a few self hypnosis records that are pretty weird, dudes talk like cartoon characters on em. a three part series of informational records about the illuminati, which i thought would have dope shit about government control to sample but dude has the most boringly calm voice i have ever heard. a live lecture of what this academic dude thinks of the kinsey report, that ones pretty interesting, tons of other shit like that. a really amazing record about the dangers of LSD, I even made a beat with the weird ass music in the background on that one time. tons and tons of weird to just plain bad world music and new agey stuff, i'll pick up any weird record for a dollar or less, cus if it's weird most likely no one else has sampled it. the in sound from way out, is one of the worst, late sixties record supposed to show the potential of synthesizers in modern music but it's all the worst, most kid friendly pop music ever played.
