alright:

Teewok - Beautiful as always (I know I said this last time but it is true) and love the guitar solo at the end.

hatym - Very ambient and relaxing. Reminds me of Boards of Canada. Like the drums roll.

gis_sweden - Could have added a little bit more variety.

lodger - Was diferent in a good way. Loved the guitar sample you chosed.

a'jin - like the part at 40 sec (wished you would have kept the momentum going there) but otherwise thought it was good.

ellaguru - the bass drum is sick!

Antee - This is so lovely! This gets my vote :)

I was a toss up between lodger, a'jin, and Antee. All dope they each had their own good qualities. I'll go with lodger since he was more playful with the sample and it created more of a mood for me. Liked the way a'jin's beat sounded - very full and nice good melodies to go with it. Antee's beat I felt was dope in the beginning with the melody that was going but i wasn't feeling the changeup - drums on that beat were nicce.

So ya lodger for me

seen that i cannot vote everytime for teewok, i vote for a'j in.
but it was very diffucult to vote because of antee (bentornato!) and thaj sick beats.
however, i wasnt very difficult for me to make my awful beat :) !!! (but ok it was a "first try" on the 606)

Everybody did great work, a lot of nice and interesting tracks!
It was hard to choose, I especially apreciated antee's beat, the way his drums are fitting the sample , the beat is good structured and everything is tight. thats why it gets my vote. Well done!

Peace

Teewok - You should have some kind of award again...
hatym - Could be used in a late night radio show
gis_sweden - What about myself... Well i made some long evil dronsound but the rest is - crap.
lodger - Mean with nice soft sounds
a'jin - Nice drum work. Lively. All fits together.
ellaguru - Rumbling. My head is ringing...
TAHJ - Unusual... Oil Storm? OK. Hard to judge. But I guess thats positive.
Antee - From oil to wine... That bas, those drums and the guitar... Antee you have my vote.

This battle's really interesting, I'm still trying to decide on my vote while I type. For me it's between A'jin, teewok, and Antee. One of the reasons I find this one interesting,- I think it's kinda weird Teewok hasn't got any votes when to me, his beat this time around is noticeably supperior to a few of his that have won by a landslide. The work on the filter/drive and whatever else was done to get that electric guitar sound is really dope, he really pulled the bass out well, and everything just flows together nicely composition wise. I also think it's a little weird that A'jin only recieved one vote in the first battle he entered a month or 2 ago (from me) when that first beat displayed even more chopping and drum programming skills. I'm also slightly pissed I lost my beat,lol...I'm having this problem with a couple of my memory cards where only the internal memory is working and I can't even go to the rest of the banks-don't know if it's the cards or the 404 itself. My shit was kind of a combination between the main sample that A'jin used, and the change up Antee used, a long with some other random chops..oh well. All that being said-even though it's pretty reppetitive, I think I gotta go with Antee too. I love the chord progression in the 3rd and 4th bars of the change-up-that's what really got it for me. Plus the combo of different kicks & hats is ill. Oh yea, Ellaguru- when listening to yours I kept wishing that heavily filtered/wah'd part would loop for a while, that shit was really sick..if that would've been the main part of the beat and not started/stopped so much it woulda got my vote for sure, had a really mellow, feel good sound to it. Repsect to all involved- a lof of nice work came out of this.

Quick note- it would be kinda nice if in the future some other people would post some already-processed drums(like the first drum loop on the drums I submitted) or one hits along with a break or 2. When you're working on a lof stuff but still wanna participate in a battle, it can be pretty time consuming just to get your drums sounding decent using a random break..I think it can be much more enjoyable if you can just quickly lay out your drums if you choose, and start chopping samples. Of course I obviously realize how you freak drum sounds is a huge part of your personal style, but when you got a lot of things on your plate, it can be kind of a turn off to have to spend so much time simply geting your drums ready. Just my opinion, don't know how others might feel about that.

ahah, thanx man, i will keep this advice for the future. sometimes i tend to break too much the rythm. anyway it was for me an honour to take part to this battle (and to try the sp606 as a live machine).
sad that you lost your beat man...i was curious to hear what you could done with that interesting sample.

I'm gonna vote Teewok on this one cuz I like the way you used your fx, as well as how you consistently built the song up right up to the end. The ending was really nice.

Also really enjoyed Antee's beat. Sounded pro dude. Only reason you didn't get my vote was because I think Teewok brought a little more variety throughout the beat.

See you at the next battle.

I know I'm super late, but hatym yours was my favorite. I loved the drum change ups and the way you played with the filters. It was really creative.
