try to see "a straight story", not so apparently weird or strange. another one could be "wild at heart".
D Lynch really appears visionary (and maybe "weird") on films such as "mullholland drive" or "inland empire" or "lost highways", "the elephant man" or "eraserhead"...

cheers

Thanx IIIII !

i didn't still motivate my choise for my vote.
i say that IIIII's track is really visionary. the second part is pure David Lynch.

peace

thanks. i've had a few of my friends compare my music to pieces from david lynch...
hd brought a real professional sound, sounds like you worked on it much longer than you did! (makes me die a lil inside that i dont have a 555 :x ) now that i listen to it again it could be taken as an official aphex twin remix!

 shit man...
i didnt spend that much time on it...i just wanted to do a proper flip because i have a huge attachment to that song and that album in general
(drukqs)
you could probably rape the 555 better than i could...(not that one should be good at raping) but yea

i definitely see the comparison to the filmmaker david lynch

DONT sleep on mulholland drive and the lost highway...they will enter your brain and wont leave for years

pure chaotic trippy dreamstate paranoia

peace

everyone is a winner this time around

sorry another off topic:
yes, and as i said try to see (not to understand)also "inland empire" or "eraserhead", very trippy. in reality i saw "Mulholland drive" when it sorted at the cinema and , at first, i didn't understand. i discussed about this film with other people and everyone had his own interpretation...very trippy and good film...
"wild at heart" is another one, but less trippy.

What kind of movies are those? Trippy in the sense of "A scanner's darkly"? Or trippy in the sense of "Requiem for a dream"?

we can add also E kusturika "arizona dream" or "underground".
unfortunately i didn't see "requiem..", many says it's a great film.
"a scanner darkly" is a great false-cartooned film, i know r linklater first movies ("dazed and confused" , "slackers" and "before sunrise"), but "a scanner darkly" is very atypic from him. the really visionary part in this case is the book itself by the great Philip k Dick. anyway very good film indeed.

....sorry for the off topic but cinema is a passion....

you forgot waking life!! blasphemy!!

nothing compares to david lynchs style...its creepy but dreamy and might not make sense but there is always a glue holding the films together...its like a mystery to figure it out

not one of those movies that you can look up a review and get a good picture of it....a lot of people will hate the fact that he doesn't spell everything out and give a nice tidy ending where everyone gets married and moves to a Caribbean island with a boat and a jet.

his heavy use of symbolism is also a major deterrent for some

its his first use of the visual technique used in scanner darkly

he hired like 20-30 artists to draw in over the live footage...the visual style constantly changes to match the conversations

its like slackers on acid

about the poll....

its a draw... but is it ok if i just hand it to wax?

Yeah, a little wait is good, but I could extend the poll as well. Any votes for that? I mean, we're going to wait anyways, so... ;)

Got to check out that waking life movie too sometime then, I liked a scanner darkly.
