seems my turntable's output might be unbalanced, so along with adjusting gain with limiter on final print, you may adjust the panning/stereo separation as well

the song is non-content identifiable and the LP is not even existent on the internet

btw i'm actually tinkering with my turntable right now to see if the problem might be with my cartridge or preamp so maybe i can get the stereo balance right and reupload if anyone is really concerned about that

or i guess i could just adjust it in DAW and reupload for you guys? i'ma try this first i guess then honestly i'll just fix it in DAW and reupload if that doesn't turn out fruitful

u right tbh it's too late anyways for the sake of anyone who has already started on their submission

i'd suggest either mastering your submission in mono or maybe swapping the stereo of either the drums or the sample, not both, to balance it out (i'm sure everyone knows how easy this is to do when bouncing between pieces of hardware)

Sampled vocals to build an intro, bass is a sampled instrument. sampled the drums with that stereo button turned off so hopefully the drum samples are more centred in the mix, looking forward to hearing everyone elses entries :)

we'll see by the time the deadline comes around, still got plenty of time

so none of the tricks i tried to get the log in thing to work really did anything, turns out it just had to do with random chance. if you try to log in a couple times and can't get in, try again in 30 min and you'll prolly be able to, if not then try again in an hour, etc.

i set my account to stay logged in forever now bc i'm tired of dealing with it lmao

lol to swap the stereo of a sample with your SP, just switch the L and R (white and red) RCA cable plugs only on the input side of your SP (or vice versa, only on the output side of your sound source, just needs to be only on one side for obvious reasons)

if you don't have hardware or other SPs to bounce to and if you had to load your samples to your memory card instead of using your computer's output, you won't have the ability to do this stereo swap according to this round's rules, so in that case i'd just switch the drums to mono and keep the sample in stereo or mono either way

made on my brand new sp-808 EX and my old sp-404 OG. A great combination, the ultimate power in the one hand and the speed and imidiate workflow in the other hand. I played a bass with the yamaha sy-22. Cool samples provided, Zindan!
