I added an alternative path to the tournament tree - you decide where we're going. My actual plan was PATH B but the tournament tree might have lead you into thinking it would be PATH A - so I decided to open up the decision.
FYI: beside the final battle the will be a bronze battle too. So we can make use of all 16 samples...


Participants got 3 votes - don't vote on your own match but vote on the paths please - just leave out the 4th vote

Anybody outside the tourney got 4 votes - one for each match + one for choosing the path!

POLL RUNS FOR 2 DAYS ONLY

In case of a draw there will be a quick microwave battle with a previous sample (random pick if players can't decide which one to choose)

If there is a draw on the path decision then i'll do a coin flip...



SEMI FINALS starting after the poll is closed. I feel bad about leaving Yoshi out but yeah... any further delays would be annoying?! If you finish your beat let us know Yosh.... !

ROB - took all the right notes from the sample.. added with bass the track was just nice and heavy. Dope beat

Jigglypuff - I liked how you were playing with the sample there but for me it more of like an intro or build up.

Vote goes to ROB.


Sonic - Cool rework, I like how you mixed in vocals in the fiirst part. Second half of the beat was real niice.

Ice Climbaz - Had kind of a reggae vibe going which was pretty awesome. Cool vocal mixes in the 2nd part

Vote goes to Sonic. Both beats hard 2 parts which worked out pretty well. Sonic's just had a nicer melody for me...esp. in his 2nd part


Wario - Solid beat. The dip at the end of the bar is cool. Very alchemisty for lack of better words lol

DK - Lol "Let the monkey out". Damn this one is nice.. Like an entrance to the ring kinda feel. Def no monkey business here lol

Vote goes to DK. Could really feel the emotion in the beat. Well done


Yoshi - :?:

MEW - Nice chops in this one. Liked the drum pattern in the second half more but the heavy kicks in the first half were nice. Overall solid beat.

I voted for ROB and Sonic. Mew was nice too, wish Yoshi had showed up!
DK's layers and overall arrangement were awesome.
Not sure about the path thing so i flipped a coin and chose B!

wow - shit get's exciting :D Now I wish i woulda done more ....

thanx for the votes and forgive me for beeing a bit tired on words... a host should be more active but i'm not that type anyway + i'm no native english speaker.. it's a small gap between beeing a fan and a neutral host - so no comment on your beats means nothing guys! I enjoy the shit out of this - it's good to act a bit childish from time to time... With this, I just wanted to set a frame and how "succesful" this whole thing is, totally depends on your support... it's not my tourney - it's a forums tourney and it doesn't take much...


huge shoutout to Kel - that was a real nice flip! even nicer considering the time you might had. you can't work resample beats at the moment because of dead pads - right? Maybe we'll slide into a SUDDEN DEATH MATCH - that would be awesome - but let's see - maybe there is some more monkey love...
Def down to do more battles with you again - our videochat microwave battles been crazy :)


Sorry if you're not feeling the path thing - the result already shows that it doesn't matter too much... a champ should be able to beat anybody - eventhough i felt like the left branch came off a bit stronger ...


Still wonder for whom the "======" vote was for - it could be important if it was for Sonic... damn... what should i do.... ?!

atleast at this point i dont think anyone is going to no show on a battle,
ready to unleash full nerd rage onto my SPs

LOHEESH- just cuz, i almost voted jigglypuff tho bc i started to imagine my own drums on his chops and the beat i heard was so bangin HOTHOTHOT i almost knocked my own head off .... lolol


SONIC - both peeps beats r good. both use outside samples\singing. ffor me i liked that end part on sonics beat alot. i kind of looped it up in my head,plus to me yr beat sounded like a gorillaz b-side, tripped me out man....

DONKEY KONG- i listened through all the beats in the whip on the way into work, this beat came on right before this tunnel through the mountain and i felt like i was in a donkey kong live action movie preview, so it got some extra drama points i guess

i wish yoshi had battled, i could have saved some energy, took time to flip that sample.esp when i too baked to truncate a proper loop point or do a clean mute grab

you'll get a new sample after the poll is closed - so depending on your timezone you might have a bit of sunday left...

if a match ends up draw the participants will get 2-3 days to microwave a beat while the rest can work on the semi finals... people having a sudden death match will get less time for round 3 though - which will most likely go from sunday to monday (01.03.15 - 09.03.15)
if there is sudden death match then i'll pm alll 16.. excuse me... 13... well.. 12 participants to vote on that quickly - one day voting should be enough i hope...
