I enjoyed listening to all the beats but narrowed it down to drew and wax cuz the melodies were too sick and drums were banging. I voted wax inspektor cuz those drums just had too much boombap

sp404beatz - real original shit i was into that but could of used some variation

juxt - really liked the way you did the beat like the original but suped up

wax - really awesome drums and i loved the melody switch in the middle, also sounded great

drewzle - i really liked what you did with the beat as well was original too

this one was a tough choice gotta go with wax for better overall

 Thanks a lot for the votes... Shit looks good at the time.
It was a great expierence to work with just one track and a fucked up drum snippet. There was a million cool ideas in the way you guys flipped that cheese. My favorite 3 beats are from juxt, drewzle and sp404beatz.
.. it was a hard decision but I gave my vote to juxt because that beat is
so perfectly produced. Very good sound-quality, witty chops & a nice groove; that's why you got my vote!

Now I'm ready for No.15 !

Juxt is a pro for sure!

I liked Drewzle's and Juxt's the best. Haven't decided which to vote for yet; but I will before the day's done!

Slightly off-topic @ Juxt: do you use the 'New York' method of compressing your drums? I've been learning about it lately and man does that technique make for BANGING drums!

Its an eastcoast thing  you wouldnt understand
no, I dont use ny comp in these battles. When I apply NY compression I try to apply it to the whole drum pattern, I like the way the drums sound like they cancel eachother out. It would be too difficult to do it in battle cuz of the rules. But your gonna hear a bit of that when I put together my mixtape, hopefully not too much longer.

- I was hoping to hear you this battle, we gotta get a track from you for #15 606man. 8)

Cool man; I'm keen!

I've come up with a way that it MAY be possible to do NY comp on the SP - I'll see if I can get it to work properly before I post the ideas though. 8)

Hardest decision yet fer sure!! OK; I gotta vot for Juxt becuase that smooth style just sounds 'pro' to me.

Everyone should be proud of their efforts though - I played some of these to the music teacher here at school and he could not believe you guys made these tunes with so little source material. He's got (and I quote) "a new-found respect for the art of sampling". This guy's a real traditional classical/jazz musician too

Well Done to the SP Massive!!!

Once again............. its an eastcoast thing, you wouldnt understand

for real though, it may be best to ask in production techniques. A lot of cats might have input on this and take away from the subject of battle. In a few words its just heavily compressed audio layered over uncompressed or slightly compressed audio to create an effect, usually applied to drums.

thanks for the votes, I'm catching up- dont sleep wax

Yo juxt, I'll open a new topic in "production technics" cause I really wanna know about the secret technic of NY compression and I'll give my best to understand... :!:
Please take a look and feed the hungry ones.

Btw. Why are there so few votes??? Please give us (and I really mean us) some feedback!

So, I'll watch my back... Next votes might be deadly! :?
