Teewok was unable to post the poll so I figured I'd help him out by posting it for him.

It's not necessary to rehost my tunes on box. I have my own webserver. ;)

No problem! I went with asha c on this one. It was hard to choose.

Another kickass battle!

I usually try to chop the sample into small pieces but this time I really wanted to use that piano as it was. I've been experimenting with compressing lately and I think it came in handy for cleaning up the drums for that piano riff. I put some rhymes on it last night.
Here's the outcome  http://soundcloud.com/collins-spaedy/powerlifting

Gis Sweden - Nice job with those self-recorded sounds! Reminded me that I should try that more.

Asha C - Really good, solid beat. Great use of the snare roll that is later imitated by the loop effect.

Blindfold - A ton of swing on this one and many effects were put to good use. I like how you doubled up that hihat. I might have to try that sometime. Nice intro and outro also.

Teewok - Just freakin excellent. Good call on starting it with that gritty bass. Makes the beat seem that much more smooth when it drops.

Hseikin - Another fatnastic head-nodder. Hardcore percussion with melodies to match.

Flowakunt - Nice vibe to it. A bit off beat at times but thats not always a bad thing. Nice work juggling those cymbals.

Unsignd - Lots of swing on this one too. Nice relaxing vibe until that abrupt ending.

Runme Raw - Great example of what to do if you're not feeling the provided sample-song(s). Chop it to bits and go nuts with effects! Its amazing how you can have so much going on and keep it somewhat coherent.

Spacetrip - Intense! Very ill filtering. I also like how you flipped that piano at the end.

DimXL - Unique! I dig the flanging it ends with.

Rowsedower - Really dope. Gotta love that loop effect. Its too much fun!

Gold goes to Runme Raw. Silver and bronze to Hseiken and Teewok.

Awesome to hear how many different flavours came out of these tracks and I enjoyed listening through all of those! My vote goes to gis_sweden, decided between him, asha c, Teewok and Runme_Raw.

GIS: SWEEEET ambient sounds . Love the shuffling sounds at the beginning. Some real nice background subtle sounds and had a nice little melody going then kinda glitchy. The filtered sweeps sounded really cool. On a whole, I thinks the track needed 'beefing up, maybe some bass in there.

BLINDFOLD: Nice filtered intro, built up well, the squeeks were kinda weird but I think you were going for weird. the bass line worked well and had a nice groove going on.

TEEWOK: FILLLLTHY intro, loved the distorted drums and the transition between those and the un distorted drums was smooth. Great melody. Great use of the sample. The mid section part was cool, reverting to the distorted drums.

HSEIKEN: Great use of effects on the intro, drums were banging. The stabs worked well and I really liked the pauses that broke the beat up. The effects were just used subtly enough I think.

FLOWAKUNT: Nice melody and the drums came in nicely.Great lo-fi feel. Maybe an extra 'part' or change would have evened the track out somewhat.

UNSIGND: Real cool jazzy, laid back vibe. I enjoyed the drum sounds, although I would have liked it had they 'kicked in' a little more, maybe adding a fatter snare in the middle for a few bars or something.

CHOPPERMAN: Cool glitchy intro, nice little melody. Great off beat drums.Great outro, the guitar stuff sounded really nice.

RUNME RAW- Great spacey intro and the build up to the main part was a great touch, came in reallly video game/glitchy. Enjoyed those percussion sounds you had going on. Outro was cool too.

SPACETRIP: CAME IN like....BOOOOOOM!!!! Loved the downtempo, grinding feel. The transition at 1:06 was like 'WHAAAAAA THE HELL'. it worked well though, a nice contrast. Maybe a little too long on the silence between transitions though made it feel kinda separate from the rest of the track.

DIMXL: Nice intro, put the sample to good use. Liked the rim shot drum sound. Good lofi mix overall. The punchy rhythm gave it a cool industrial sound. Enjoyed the spacey vibe.

ROWSEDOWER: Great lofi sound, nice use of the djfx looper. Loved the clap you used. Overall great job, nice lofi sound.

Going with teewok, great job

Listening for the first time now...
Gis: Dude, weird as ever. Don't know where the ambient is in this one. Interesting found sounds, kinda reminds me of 80s industrial music like Test Department minus the rage. Ever thought about spending the whole duration of a battle working on a beat?
Asha C: Liking this one with that rhythmic slice behind the drums. The stuttering drums is a new take on the DJFX stutter too (that's the effect, right?). Felt like a proper song.
Blindfold: Not too sure about what you were trying to do on this one with those hihats. A bit too loose for my ears.
Teewok: Again, pro effort dude. Nice changeups. Has all the little touched in the right place (the distorted guittar amp drums, phaser on some long phrases). Setting a high standard here.
Hseiken: Sharp drum sounds, pretty heavily gated & binary (on-off) sounding, but the background drones are beautiful. Some nice turnarounds too.
Flowakunt: Nice layering with those drums, pity the SP timestretch is so rough. Really nice chops, had some deep flow to them.
Unsignd: Sounds sleepy, nice chops but a few changeups would been the icing on the cake.
Chopperman: Harsh sounding drums over that piano. Good loop!
Runme_Raw: Epic sounding intro & nuts sounds you pulled out, again. Like the sci-fi feel to how it came together. Great to hear you really push the samples.
Spacetrip: LOUD recording! That abrasiveness works after hearing so many grabs at the smooth sounds. Then that ending? Hahaha!
DimXL: Weird, lo-fi. Not sure what to make of the drips & fartbass.
Rowsedower: Enjoying how you messed with those loops, but it would've also been cool to hear a straight version of the loops before you destroyed 'em. Seems like you had a killer rhythm going but were keeping it away from us!

Would've loved to have gotten in on this battle, would've gone nuts on those samples. Was out of town & got stuck with delayed flights & no SP in sight. Next round, for sure.

Hard to pick between Teewok, Asha C & Runme_Raw. Tee's already won at this stage of the votes so I put mine to Asha for crafting a song instead of a beat.

Yes Im a little hasty when it comes to post my beat. It’s usually a good idea to leave a beat over the night and listen to the mix the next day. But…

While listening I had a tough time choosing between Teewok and Runme.. Untill I came to the last track by Rowsedower. Oh boy the lo-fi goodness! So as y'all can assume, my vote went to Rowse.

I had a really tough time making a beat I liked myself, so I didn't compete.. again...

For fartbass I used RING MOD :D

I had made my beat very fast tonight with shitty headphones so track sounds sometimes uncontrollable
