Battle 128
Hello my SP Family :D ,
Its almost 2013 - Year of the Snake!!!
Hope you people will have a nice ''Yearswitch''!
ADMBMB gave me the honor to pick the next sample for the beatbattle.
Thnx Adam,
I always had a sample ready for a moment like this :D .

Me and Runrun use to work in a theater with this much older guy , who was a Pscycodelic/ProgressiveFunk/Disco DJ in the 70s/80s here in Holland (notbig).
His collectionLP's/knowledge of music was always a connection for me and Runrun.
He was one of the people who knew Runrun and i smoked weed and listen to all these old records. So he always talked with us about these things(he was a Cheech&Chong-kinda-guy).
But...the track that i want to upload is one of his record collection that he gave to me on a mp3cd, maybe you guys already know/used it.

SAMPLE: https://www.box.com/s/5ijudatg05o6db4e2y1e

RULES: flip the sample - outside drums/percussion/vocal cuts/samples/ synths/outside bass/fx/ are allowed.
And if u wanna use a acapella, be creative and let the words in that track link with the ''battlesamplename''(Miracles of the Gods).
Or if you wanna do sum '' Rhythm And Poetry'' (brother chopperman :D ),
Let me hear you rap about ''Miracles of the Gods''.
TIMELIMIT: Its free to be UNLIMITED CREATIVE - HONESTLY EXPRESSING YOURSELF WITH SOUNDS (Don't let me smoke 1 joint over a whole track!!! I wanna smoke 1 joint while listen to all BattleBeats).

I will be flexible with the POLL , knowing that everybody is a bit busy this week and tired of party/alcohol/drugs...we decide that together later on this week (OK?).

Hope you guys enjoy and make sum SPiece of Art...

Peace , Runme Raw

Whoah, haven't heard this before... Epic. Listening now & I reckon I could every second of this to make a beat, so you sure you don't want to get some 12 minute prog trip hop nightmare?

When does the battle close? Gonna get onto starting a beat today, but might not be back on the SP for a few days after.

I'm all over it! I actually coincidentally recently (wow, triple adverb!) wrote a song on religion titled Accept the Mystery. I wrote it without a beat in mind so I'll see if I can make one now. Thank you!

 It is a 48 bar verse so I apologize in advance if I rock past the time limit.

Bro, i always say that coincidence doesn't exist, this time again.
Everything goes a curtain way, like your mind that day.
Miracles of the gods!!!
And go ahead with those 48 bars, you are free to express yourself on the SP Miracle.... :D

could you explain more clearly the time limit -
1 min - is it too long?

Yo DimXL, sorry for the strange timelimit, there is no timelimit.
This time everybody is Timeless - free choice.

Seriously… The music is not good. But if you are a phrase sampler owner it is – useful. Ill try to create some thing from it.

Cool thing having a musical “mentor”.

Hey guys. I've never posted here before but I'm willing to give this a try. :-) Might as well put this account to use.

You sure that's necessary? Having everyone load their tracks to their own place has worked for 127 SP battles & countless open battles here.

I know the MPC forums uses this format for submitting battle beats, but they get waaay more traffic than this place.

All samples except one from the Absolute Elsewhere ‎"In Search Of Ancient Gods". The exception are recorded outside the temple (Johannebergskyrkan) with my iphone 2013-01-02.

Yo Gis, why is the music not good???
I choose this big piece so people had alot of choice/samples :)
And what is a phrase sampler? i know what ''phrase'' means.
You mean you can't pick 1 piece because there are to many?

Yeah he was a nice musical mentor, at that time i was makin beats on fruity loops with a midi-keyboard.Today thats 7 years ago :D
We dont see him anymore since 2009 because we stopt workin there.

Just what I feel. All music from the 60-70th cant be good. This piece wasnt very well played nor well mixed etc, but fun anyway. A matter of taste :)

The SP is a "phrase sampler" and the MPCs. You cant really play on a phrase sampler like a piano. We have 12 pads not 61, or some thing. Thats what i mean.
Am I right?
