Voted for Zindan.

I especially liked the chords used by Waywardpressman, but audibly it sounded too thin and resonant which kinda ruined it for me. Zindan tipped the scales for me due to it being audibly more pleasing and I thought it was very nicely done. It was also nice to be able to listen to an acapella without that horrible pitch-shifting warble that often goes with it, so well done bro!

Voted Zindan! LOved how you used the samples! Acapella worked really well too

Yeah, not really close is it. I also voted for Zindan.

That 660 sounds real nice.

ay thank you guys so much for the votes so far! it was really frustrating stepping away from and back to making the beat several times when i was learning the dr660, i ended up having to rerecord the drums off it like 3 times bc i kept messing them up, and when i realized i was running out of time was right when i realized how the stereo image of the sample was and how cool it'd sound if i did the 808s in stereo, but i didn't have time and had to throw everything together in mono :( but it's all good, there will be future mixes in stereo eventually!

oh it's definitely there man lmao i ended up choosing that acapella (which i didn't think existed, and it didn't until recently, and it's an unofficial homemade phase cancellation method vocal isolation acapella with all the weird warble and inconsistencies in audio level like you're referring to!) because it was the only one i found when i searched "84 bpm acapella" on youtube that was actually in 84bpm and sounded nice on the beat (and i made the beat in 84bpm because that's the tempo that let me leave the main loop intact without time stretching)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umMrIyKGhNw here's the acapella
idk because of your troll persona if this is a backhanded compliment or if you were being genuine, but i'll respond as if it was genuine anyways and say, the weird audio artifacts are probably less noticeable thanks to the compression i threw on the acapella and maaaybe because the beat it's sitting on was compressed with vinyl sim with quite a bit of warble ("flu")
but yeah anyways just wanted to thank you all and let you know i appreciate you guys giving this trash a listen

Perhaps "Warble" was the wrong word, but that's what I meant, that horrible jittering effect that comes from using the pitch shifting didn't spoil the audio, I never noticed any to be honest but wasn't trying to find any.

Anyway, nice track bro!

I like waywardpressman's beat, the dark tone, the samples he picked - this great fast guitar, from which sample is this? And how you worked out the hard uncompromising Drums!

But zindan nailed it for me, great use of this flute sample and the smooth electronic DR-660-Drums, with extra melody of the tom.

I was too late to vote, but probs to both of you! Great delievery! 8)

I think you might have a few issues hosting an SPBB if you do it before the login is fixed. Could prove to be a very real problem because someone might want to get a beat in on time and might not be able to.

It just took me nearly two days to get in

Yep, still having trouble, almost another day to get in again.

At this point I'm going to give-up trying to get in other than I'll attempt one log-in per week until it is fixed. I've better things to be doing that fighting a fucked-up login, and I'm sure the rest of us have as well.

Some appear to be getting in, but clearly a lot of them can't, and I have no idea how many members that stretches to.

Congrat's on your rematch win btw!
