I'm sure other SP555 users on here with an ounce of common sense (and rhythm) will agree with me....the SP555 is the bollocks!
I've got to be honest, some folk who post on here annoy me, as soon as they can't figure out how to do something on the SP555, they wanna sell it straight away.....fucking sell it then!!! why did you buy it in the first place...did'nt you have the initiative to check out the reviews online before deciding to purchase.
IT IS NOT A COMPUTER, IT WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU!
You get what you pay for with this little beauty. It is a very "manual" machine, you have to work using your ears, with perseverance, talent and skill....if you have these elements then your beats will swing baby!!!! (ooh lets not forget about imagination too!)
If you have none of the above underlined then stick to your DAWs and shut the fuck up!

This is very true! :)
The SP555 and the 404's etc are a great learning tool and have great potential for the right person. Some folk clearly don't understand how to utilise a sampler/sequencer, they don't "realise" what it is, what it does etc and get confused by this and ask the wrong questions?....they should try reading the manual and putting some practice in and have fun rather than complaining what it can/can't do.
Think for yourself girls, that's what I did and it's paying off!

Hello SP-Friends:)

I agree with u, one can do much with these lovely SP's. Myself i have always found that less is more, as it trigger the mind and fantasy wich is the only limit on this machines:) I found the SP's very special and ive get a kick every time i lay my hands on my SP-606 and SP-808ex..I like hands on..and ok DAW's is good for recording vocals and mastering the whole production...but ive cant stand the plastic plugin instruments and the badly emulated EQ's in the DAW's.

The stability of a hardware sampler or synth or such make me calm and creative..ive lost too many works over the years because the lack of stability in DAW software..long live hardware long live the SP-XXX series :D

Peace

"Please Roland give us a proper sampler again,...and don´t make it complex, A SP-606 with say 24 or 32 voices 8 indu outs that´s enough....it would be great"...;)
