well since i have a 404, a microkorg and a br600 it is possible to use for effects i'd rather buy myself a Rc-2 and save the rest of my money for something else..

i already have the 404 and had my heart set on copping the 555, but now i am thinking for $200 less than the 555 i can cop this and use it wit the 404:

Good look, that seems like a dope little multi-track looper. I love how small it is plus it has a nice old school look to it.

no doubt i think i might look more into that multitrack . you can also save each seperate track to wav files on the cf card!! looks like it would be dope with the 404. But damn i kinda want the 555 as well!!!lol

the only thing i would really want from the 555, is the velocity sensitive pads and other effects.

That bit about missing the first .3 of a second when you start looping seems to me to be a bit of a worry...

vivi.. The 555 isint out here yet :( no one is sure how soon they are gonna arrive. 606man... ya that .03 seconds thing kinda scared me also... but it only does that when you use "free" to record...so thats a relief.

so i played with this at the store a few days ago. i have to honestly say that i am now glad that the 404 does not have velocity sensitive pads. to be fair i played with a fantoms pads and the 606 as well. i really like the feel of the 606 pads by the way. anayway my point is this; the 555 pads feel flimsy, they are not very sensitive nor are they consistent. i'm sure anyone could get it down but from my twenty minutes i would have to say they were they worst feeling/ responsive of the three roland peices i mentioned, oh well...
