Is there anything I can read up on this. I have read the manual but I think i need a general lesson on quantization. I googled "quantization", didnt find anything, I tried just 'teaching myself'.. hah not working out well. Any help will be appreciated.

I understand a 1/4 note.. But when you get into 1/16th notes and 16t? I don't understand if its quantizing to hit every 1/16 note of 1 bar or if its for the amount of bars I set.

So say if i quantize to 1/16 note with a 4 bar pattern.

it will then I hit a note at 1.1 then at 2.1 will then only play the note I hit at 1.1?

Sorry if i am confusing you guys but I haven't used quantize just cause I haven't learned the first thing about it.

I have wiki'd quantization and have tired to research this but nothing seems to make sense.

quantization is error correction. when you bang the pads some notes are bound to be off, quantization slides it foward or backward in time based on the unit of time you select.

think of each 1/16 note as a little cube on your table

you can drop them random places in a row, but it wont have an order. but if you put them directly edge to edge, you can then measure how many blocks it takes from here to there.
so on this imaginary table there are 16 blocks, that are white (silence)
quantization is like choosing which one of those blocks are black (audio)
so if every 4 are black then you have a dance beat. if every block is black then you have like new school rap high hats.

1/16T is triplets. instead of 4 blocks per 1/4, its now 6.

there are three 1/8T in a 1/4

there are 4 1/32 in a 1/16

i really hope this helped and didnt confuse you more haha

That actually made a bit of sense.. I didnt understand the concept of the triplets so that part was really helpful.. Thank you very much!
