Recognizing the SP-555 with Windows 7 beta is difficult. The setup launcher for the driver does not recognize the Operating System. This is the only driver meant for vista that has not also worked in Win 7 that ive tried installing. Rest of my gear works

Any ideas on getting it to work?

it is a beta... which means any new drivers are a long ways off even if they are planning on it. i wouldn't bet on them to make it work until they know for sure windows 7 will be around for a while. you probably know this though.

right click---> properties-->compatibility mode?

The Windows 7 release date is October 22, 2009. There you go Roland Programmers.

I got the SP-555 to work with Windows 7 Beta and now the Windows 7 RC. I believe I just right-clicked on the setup file and set the Compatibility Mode to "Vista." I have it working flawlessly under Ableton Live and I'm able to sample from within the application once selecting the SP-555's USB Audio Driver.

Yeah so I'm using windows 7 professional now , and I STILL cannot get the sp555 windows driver to work after changing compatibility to vista SP2. It didn't work in beta it doesn't work now. I have resorted to using standard midi plugs.
