Post subject: | How to turn of Sample during USB connection |
Hi everyone - am I missing something??? I am connected to Logic and the sounds are coming into the 555 but it layers it with the sample already on the pad so 2 sounds play. Is there a way to mute the sample so I only get the sound from logic? Also - is the best way to record sounds onto the pads via usb, using the loop capture and then assign to a pad? When ever I try and sample - I cant hear the logic sounds. Thanks in advance to any 555 masters, F |

i dont what pad you are sampling to, but im going to assume your using the loop capture? so are you playing a loop from your sample bank pads while recording sound from logic on the loop capture? if so press the button on the loop capture named {SOURCE SELECT} so its lit. this means only audio from mic/line-in/usb will be captured in the loop there is no best way to record sounds from usb, each has its own purpose. for one shots and drum samples: hold [cancel] + [sampling] and turn ctrl 3 so the LED reads 4 or 5. the number is the decibel level at which it will start sampling. once you set that, press [sampling] and select a pad. press [sampling] again and the led should read [RDY]. as soon as a sound reaches above the set decibel level it will record, and hit [sampling] again when the sound is over for loops set the BPM on the SP555 to that of LOGIC or tap it in using the tap tempo select the measure length using the [measure] button in the loop capture. hit auto-start then record. as soon as sound comes in it will record the specified length in measures. |
