Post subject:  loop chopping

Just thought i'd share a little something i learned a while back but haven't been around to post.

Basically i have been using reason for a while and i heard from a friend that you could chop with recycle and export wavs of the chops so that rather than loading a loop and doing manual chops on the 555 i could do all the chopping faster and better using recycle from propellerhead and then export all the chops as a series of wavs to upload from cf, it's way easy to do and you can pick up the software at plenty of not so secret places on the net

I'm with ya! I try and two most of my work without a computer now...something about doing it manually makes me feel more connected to the music...

Word. I think it makes more sense to do it by ear if you have access to both methods.

Exporting wav's is nice tho if you started out using Recycle and want to revisit some of those old chops/loops. I've got a pretty large library of Recycle files that I've gone back to for making kits for the beatmaker ipod app mentioned here:
