Folks,

Trying to find my way around the device.

Is there a way to edit a pattern once it's been written to a pad? Specifically, overdub or delete pads?

Could not find this in the manual. Seems like it's obvious and should be there.... but then again....

Thanks,

Moosh

to delete/add a pad in a sequence hit the pattern button then the sampling button then hit the pad that has the sequence u want to edit (it wont light up to let u know there is a currently a sequence there) set your quantize, click level etc. and hit the sampling button again and it will count off. Now, while its playing hit the delete button. the screen will read "DEL" now hold down the pad u wanted deleted for as long as u need to. Hit delete again when your done. Your sequence will still be running. To add things simply hit the pad where u want it to play and it will record it. You can also hit the sampling button again to go into rehersal mode and your sequence staying in record mode but wont record any events you play untill you hit sampling again.

that was really helpful - very glad this is possible!

also -- is it possible to backup the compact flash onto a PC with all the assigned samples on the right pads, etc?

thanks!

yes it is. I do this to keep backups of all my works without. It wont save banks A+B though. But u can create a backup of those banks onto the card thankfully. Thats in the manual.
