I've had my 555 for a few years, love the thing. However, when trying to reverse delay (b16) a delay pedal using the line in, my machine refused to! Should have been easy as pie, it would reverse delay everything else, just not that. I could "kick start" it by tappping on my mic (going into the delay) a few times, but obviously not ideal. Especially weird because my 555 has no problems with any other effects or settings, only reverse delay, and only with line in. Anyone got any suggestions? Maybe it's time to take her to the place I got her to have her checked out?

Cheers

I can test it on my 555 but I don't quite understand the issue. if you could describe it differently and how I might test it on mine maybe I can clarify if it is unique to your unit or not.

Thanks! I had a low gain microphone [digitor c-1506] (cause I'm poor  ) going into a delay, with stereo output, going into the "in" on my 555, I tried applying a reverse delay (b16) to this, but the input from the mic didn't get reverse delayed. However, all other effects worked when applied to the input from the mic, and the reverse delay worked on the mic input.

So I'm trying to figure out if this is just because of the low signal of the mic, or (hopefully not) my 555 is dying

probably the mic. there is a threshold on the reverse effect i think. easiest to test it with the built in mic and tap on it. if that triggers fine then you might need to invest in a mic preamp or a different mic

did you try switching the mic setting from Hi-z to normal? that may fix the problem
