I've just been noticing that mine often double fires if i'm not pressing it directly in center... Wondering if it's defective or if it's meant to be like that. |

It's a glitch that can be used as a feature. ![]() ![]() |

hmmm... mine doesnt do that... but maybe ive trained myself. My MPC2k used to do that all the time and I learned how to hit the pads so it wouldnt double. |

I always used the pads at their highest sensitivity... perhaps that 'helps' to get this glitch? It's mainly a matter of technique too, because if you strike a pad and also take your finger away again, it can't happen. If you press and hold for a split second it can definitely happen if you miss the center of the pad.... Basically it did not happen very often by accident on my SP-555 by the way. |

it doesn't happen frequently to me either... and i noticed that if you put your finger on the corner of the pad and do rapid pulses without removing your finger you can achieve machine gun like sounds.. pretty cool. i was just wondering if it was normal or not... it happens when you sorta "roll" your finger as it strikes the pad... |
