Post subject:  Sequencing issues and a tip on time signatures

I tend to use my 555 as a sequencer. I tend to sequence pretty complex drum patterns and most of the time I get to a place that it starts skipping and shit. It happens when there's only like seven drums at any one time. What's the polyphony? I feel like I should be able to get better polyphony than that.

Also, what are some tricks to overcome the weak polyphony?

Also a tip: to record a pattern in compound time(6/8, 7/8, 3/4, etc) use the triplet quantize function and a little math. For example: 1, 2, 3, 4, can be split like 1 and a, 2 and a, 3 and a so on... understand? That is 12/8 or 6/8 giving a 3 feel. I just hear a lot of people post about the lack of different time signatures than 4/4 on the 555... :D
