Post subject:  Make ableton record with more volume

Hey,
so i decided to get an sp-555 and so far i dont regret it.... having lots of fun.
now i finished some bars with different sounds and i want to record them in ableton.
i have my 555 connected via usb and everything works fine but the volume on the recordings is just very low. how can i get the sensitivity up? i know this might be more ableton related but i havent found anything.

thanks again!

not sure if you can modify the gain on the 555, but you can just put a 'utility' device on your channel in ableton and turn up the gain.

hmmm
doesnt seem to work. the volume on my headphones is still lower when i play back the clip i recorded in ableton compared to hitting the pad.
the gain doesnt really change anything except that the sound rolls over (?) and it gets really loud without me doing anything.

ok the best way was to export it with usb and then add to ableton.
kind of a hassle but im loving the results :D
take care

This is an easy fix.

Hold Cancel, hit Start/End/Level button (and hold it)
screen should flash "0dB" , turn the Ctrl 3 knob until it says 3, 6, or 12 (number of decibels to boost output)

This is a loudness boost (internal) for recording out of USB. I use it all the time as I also find the 555 USB output a bit lacking.
