I agree, thought for sure the Roland FP-2 would not even turn over :)
If you think about it, the 9v out is rated at 8500mAh, or 8.5A. Even the 12v has 6.5A. I'm not circuit-board savvy by any means and just today realized the conversion from miliamps to amps   . I would guess you could chain quite a few things on one battery, looking forward to testing this out with my 6-way power splitters [x3] and a few close friends with similar toys.

My videos & music have been added to my signature down there, the Dailymotion account is just for my live hardware music video demos. The YouTube channel has 190+ videos of various themes and situations and general strange/experimental music content, mostly. :?:  :?:

Thanks for replying & I'd reccomend this battery, polarity switcher & tip set to anyone with pedals, laptops, cell phones, Casio/Yamaha/EHX/Korg/Roland/(..) gear. And so many more uses; charge it & toss it in the glove box. 8)

This is great- thanks for the info- I just won a 555 to go with my 404sx which I take with me all the time as it runs on batteries- cool!

I got mine in the mail yesterday- way smaller than I had imagined! Works great but sadly I discovered the 505 is 14v and will not work. Was looking forward to a mobile 505, will look for another way.
I also got rechargeable AA batteries for my 404SX worth the investment.

Om_Audio - I think you will really dig the 555 on battery power, the looper is such a great tool on-the-go for putting down ideas. D-beam in the woods with cheap&loud USB powered speakers ! Nice work with the rechargeables, I have them in my MicroKorg and Microsampler as backup batteries. Just took my Kaoss Pad KP3+ on a bike ride with headphones & a cheap mic... Fun stuff

Rock on !

usb powered speakers? is that to say the speakers are powered by the battery back through the usb out. You'd still have to use the rca outputs i take it.

The USB speakers I'm using are only powered by the USB.
There's an 1/8" plug that I convert to 1/4" for the headphone out of any of this gear for the audio signal.

Original poster, just a BUMP to say this works great with my 404sx, and I suspect with lots of other 9V gear. Loving not being tethered to a power strip/outlet...this thing has paid for itself ten times over in portablity and fun factor
