Hi,

Wouldn't it be cool if the effect memories also recalled which pads were assigned, at the point of saving?

That way you could jumo from say flanged hats, shakers and sticks, to delayed snare and clap etc etc

As a work around I intend to arrange my samples logically in banks. That way I can recall the effect memory and quicky apply it to all pads in the bank. Not ideal.

Are Roland open and receptive to suggestions for the OS?

Changing the midi transmit channels and note numbers would be so handy for sequencing external synths.

Not complaining like.

maybe they can't justify development costs for something that is all ready shifting lots of units?

Perhaps when the sales drop and they want to clear stock, they might see fit to give the OS a spruce up.

Lets be honest, it's an awesome box as it stands!

they wont update it when sales begin to drop.... At least, it doesn't seem likely since they haven't done that with any other SP.

its a pretty nice box, but I think its interesting how much they seem to have completely ignored people's thoughts on the 404 when making the 555.

like what? you can copy patterns, more samples, more control over effects, easier resampling, that seems to cover most complaints.
so its not a 404 version 2... big deal if you want a 404, get a 404.

it is what it is. and the next sp will probably be nothing like the 404 or 555 or anything else they have made

the last thing we want is for them to push out the same box with slight improvements every year for 30 years cough cough AKAI cough
