i had a record player running into my sp 555 and when i snagged a loop all the pads stopped working.... i could not stop the loop unless deleting and the pads 1-16 didnt work. then i restarted it and it worked fine.

it scared the shit out of me. god forbid i part with the thing to get it sent to the factory for 2 months.

has this happened to anyone else?

Nope....but saying that i've never hooked a record player upto mine. Have you got alot of stuff saved on your memory? i don't know but i should'nt worry about it....computers crash all the time and work fine ok afterwards?

i was thinking maybe a power surge? they said in the manual there is a slight possibility to be shocked using it, and the turntable grounds into the 555. it better not happen again haha

I have had my 555 lock up on a loop before. I was disappointed but after restarting the sampler is seemed to work fine.. Scared me too.

Same thing though. I had my turntable ---> the mic input and was sampling that way.
