Post subject:  Registration possible?

Hi,

an old forum-member ("cartesia") wants to join again, but does not have access to his former login data. So he tried to register a new account, but he never got an activation email. He's using a gmail-account and he checked his spam-folder, too.

Any ideas, advices?

Slightly related... but has the CAPTCHA bug ever been fixed on the login screen?

Pretty sure registrations are possible because I keep seeing bots with new registrations. The AI in these bots must be reading the password and passing it on to other bots as well.

Haven't had trouble with the login for a few weeks now, thankfully!

bots probably get in through an exploit, the forum is old, theres going to be cracks in certain aspects of security that someone can take advantage of to bypass the secret password and the whole activation email stuff
