IM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!

I went to a fleemarket today just to look for records...

GUESS WHAT I FOUND!
Some guy had an original in perfect-shape 1988 EMAX standing there

(for the people, that is the rack version of the 1200) It's maxed and with alot of original floppies!

I asked him how much he wants for 'the box' and he said he doesn't really know what it is or does, SO HE SAID 60 BUCKS!

I GRABBED THE BABY AND GAVE HIM THE MONEY. I HAD A HARD TIME NOT TO SCREAM WHEN I LEFT HIS STAND.

I'm so happy right now!
I'll start posting EMAX beats next week or so, stay tuned!

Roland should re-issue the sp-1200 in a smaller, battery powered box.

they were actually made by E-mu, not Roland

i think it's a coincidence both lines have SP prefixes

confusing though :)

Ya...Emu is owned by a software company now so its unlikely they will ever do something like that again :(

actually they are owned by Creative Labs who makes consumer level sound card (those Audigy lines).

that and the fact that technology has been changing a lot over the years, those converters used for the SP1200s are most likely not available anymore.

Yeah, I'm dumb I used to sell E-MU soundcards all day in Seattle. Since Roland rocks the sp namesake they should make an homage to the beat beast, I'm sure they could recreate similar converters and program style.
