What up fam. Just copped a 2000xl for 275 usd. It is in the mail. Cant wait. i know some of you use it, thoughts? Do you love it? I was going to buy the new pads and sensors for my 1k and for an extra 100, i could buy this box, so i figured what the heck why try and upgrade my pads to be like a 2000 when for almost the same price i could actually buy a 2000xl. Thoughts?

If you still have the 1k do your sampling and chopping in that, trigger via midi with the 2xl and do the drums in the 2xl as well. May wanna use the 1k as the Master and the 2xl as the slave.

It is still shipping, waiting, waiting, waiting. Guitarcenter sold me a 100% parts replacement for 1 year for 25 bucks, and I did they said they would replace anything on it but jst for a year. Hopefully is runs perfectly forever.

Only issue with these things is that the screen can go dead over time, which costs way too much to replace. Almost copped one back in April, but the busted screen was more than I could afford. Keep good care of it and it'll be a work horse. The MIDI to MP1000 solution sounds like a good idea if that's the case.

Got it last night. Love it. there is a line at the bottom but I can see through it. It came with a padded akai case. Zip drive. Like it a lot so far. I like the limited sampling time, p[ossibly just load it with tons of drums and use my 1k to sample phrases, other stuff.

That line on the screen is a sure sign that it will go out at anytime. I would take advantage of that gurantee, like immediately.

I love the sound from the box. How do you guys use yours? I have been trying to make four bank programs Of percussion. I'm trying to figure out how to pitch drums in a program and save those settings. I know you can pitch them in the program menu is this how you do it? I figured it out. Program mode. OS there a way to do it with the slider?
