Does anyone on here use a PO-33 or PO-133?

I'm just curious how pitch works on it and I was wondering, if I were to play back a sample, say, ten seconds long, is it possible to turn one of the knobs to adjust the speed of the pitch up and down as it plays the sample like on a Microgranny?

Or do you have to retrigger the sample after adjusting the pitch each time? I'm just trying to get an idea of how the pitching on it works. I've seen some videos but they don't really answer my question as to the different (if there are any) possibilities when it comes to handling pitch.

This is as much as i could grab in terms of pitch, have some vids with timestamps. seems like you wont have to retrigger samples but check it out i guess

"Once captured, you can manipulate your sounds with 6 parameters linked to knobs A & B. To cycle through them, press the ‘fx’ button.

Tone - A:Pitch / B:Volume: Each sample can be pitched up + down. As there is no key setting, this is important for shifting melodic sequences. Sample volume can be adjusted separately from the master volume. "

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FyMww8 ... RussoMusic skip to 33 seconds, one example of pitch being manipulated live with no retrigger on a sequence

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq7r6eF ... OllieLoops this says "Effects are applied in playback" if the pitch parameter is under as an effect then i guess the manipulations can be heard as live playback so i think there wont be a retrigger? BUT cannot be applied to line input so whatever is running into the PO33 as live audio cant be manipulated as its playing through the cables into the 33

I know for fact on the 404 that with MFX 21 applied on EXT source you can manipulate pitch on the go with any inputs but can get a slight warp and samples too without retrigger

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUDAFJD ... LiamKillen
for the po133 skip to 5:58 to see a demo of the diff pitches of a sample being done automatically in steps if thats helpful too

from what i can tell, the pitch can only be manipulated to what is ALREADY inside the machine, and to a sequence running on the machine. not as an external effects board on something playing live via input. does not appear like it will retrigger for every manipulation of pitch i think,, in general 404 seems better for this particular aspect

Bruh, thanks for all that, I don't know how you even managed to find, watch those videos and formulate your reply in that amount of time!

I hear you on the 'FX Pitch' thing, but I'm talking more along the lines of how the Microgranny handles it which is just perfect in my opinion. To see what I mean, skip to 1:40 in this video:

You can ignore the rest, but skip to 1:40 and check-out that awesome pitch knob:

Believe this will give a final answer

However idk if the sample will auto loop when it ends you can definitely manipulate pitch as u wish

He mentions if u apply the effect after the sequencer they won’t work,, essentially you can mess about with pitch live on standalone samples as he shows but not whilst it is running in a sequence

The pitching is a lot better than on my 404sx but on the 404sx u can do the pitching on the fly 100%
