does anyone here on the board ever have a MC-909 and/or a Yamaha DS-7000 in their hands?

I want one of those but don´t really know which to pick.

Roland MC-909 Pro: best studio sounds available
Con: not useful for "Live" performance cause you can´t play in live while playback (never really bothered me cause I did the patterns b4 I play em live)

Yamaha DS-7000 Pro: very useful for Live
Con: shitty sounding drums ....no probs there cause I´ll be putting the TR-909 in per midi.

Incase anyone of you have any expirience in 1 or both of these machines, please let me know.

thx in advance

EDIT: pretty cool site---> http://www.mc909.org

There is no Yamaha DS-7000. Do you mean RS-7000? If so, go for the RS.

oops yes ofcourse ....well that shows that people r @ their witts and u passed the test

Yamaha RS-7000

did you get a chance to play on those yet...either RS or MC ?

r u in possesion of 1 of those machines?

read all about it that the bassline on the RS is the best to be bought
(not the bassdrum just the bass sequences itself)

just the drums suck ...who cares drummachine on midi and away we go
but then again...that MC aint bad either with that cool turntable emulation and velocity sensitive pads
and V-LINK connecting audio & video in performance

well still have two days till decission has to be made :?

@ 5ch0k0 - Unfortunately I haven't owned either. I've only read reviews and spoken to those who have/do use them. There are lots of youtube vids with the RS-7k and some with both the RS and MC.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_t ... ry=rs-7000

I was just speaking based the info I've gathered on the machines.

I hope that shit made sense I'm so lifted right now.

@ Drewzle - I been checkin in from time to time. Just been goin through some real life shit is all. I can't stay away from the SP fam for too long anyway. Good see to I was missed.
