From what i can tell it is a rebirth .. don't know too much .

Like many people .. i've looked at the $4000+ price tags of SP1200 on ebay over the years.

Anyway here's the weblink . Looks promising .. not made by EMU .

But their operation looks official .

Only came across this the other week .

I'm patiently waiting for mines to arrive. Currently a delay with production parts. But should be shipping within a few weeks. I can't wait...

i saw some videos the creator posted on youtube, a sort of 1200 vs 2400, from what i remember they sound similar, but looking at the price...i don't know...i mean, how much does it costs a 1200 in relatively good conditions?
other thing to consider: the 2400 has more functions the 1200 doesn't have
+
i also ask that with the new akai models in mind...

I think for those wanting a SP1200, but can’t afford it will be glad to get this recreation. But even with more memory, FX, data storage, you are taking away some of the very limits the original forces every user to go through. So keep that in mind if you decide to get this over the original. That being said, most SP1200s go for the price of a used car or truck. And I’d assume only a fool would sell their means of transportation just to make beats on a SP1200. In this day & age of DAWS, cheaper & cheaper equipment, all the older equipment is going to get more rare & harder to maintain. And for the prices they go for, one could get way more bang for their buck, versus buying something as old & ancient as the 1200.

But the sound is what you pay for I suppose. If the SP2400 comes even close to that, and for waaay cheaper, someone will buy it.
