Nice. sometimes a beat just sounds too clean or the tracks dont blend right and tape is the perfect thing for that imo.

Sweetness. Got any pics? Does it have a line-in jack? If not, you can use an attenuator cable (like this one) for your mic jack. As you know, if your tape recorder has AGC, it'll make some funky compression...

You guys should look into getting an old reel to reel machine.. those thing can seriously phatten up your sound. Me and my Buddy have and old revox and an Ampex(from 1956!) .... those things kick ass.

Check out the song Floaty Girl on http://www.myspace.com/3cpu to hear the tape machines in full effect. we used them to bend the piano notes slightly and to dirty/phatten up the vox, drums and bass.
