I've been working the past month or two to get some dough together cos I was thinking of upgrading some of my gear to make the move into a more professional type of setup- first thing i need is a good mixer. I been looking at this Korg Zero 4 thing, looks the business for a start, but what I like about it is that it's kind of like an effects type mixer which wud be useful for production stuff but it has a cross fader as well so I cud improve my scratching skills etc. I'm no expert on mixers etc so what do you guys think of this thing? |

Wow yeah, a lot of problems with it apparently! Ok so I guess Zero 4 is out of the picture. Are there any other mixers out there with about 4 inputs that have a crossfader and some nice effects? What can anyone recommend? |

I'd jump on that one alot quicker than the Zero 4. The Mackie D4 Pro looks good too. Still a DJ mixer, still has firewire and alot of features similar to the Zero 4 just a better mixer. http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-MAC-D4PRO |

Yeah as much as i like the look of the Edirol, no crossfader is a bit of a put-off. The Mackie looks ill tho. I'm glad I got some time to think about this, there doesn't seem to be a definitive dj mixer that does all the shit and does it good! |
