Can it adjust the playback speed of samples like tape- ie, without maintaining the pitch or length?

The microsampler has "real pitch" and time stretch modes.

Is it fair to say the microsampler is like a turbo version of an asr 10?

Did they fix this in keygate sampling.

Sounds not as great as I imagined

you still have to leave a (microscopic) gap between samples. it just depends how accurate you are with pushing and holding the keys. but it's tricky if you want to do it seamless.

Not sure if you finished reading the Initial post....
if you tap tempo your sample and then resample using the auto next feature it will cut your samples seamlessly without the gaps..if you haven't mastered the ninja slice using the manual keygate.
Practice my friend.

Hi

Apologies I don't understand.

From the videos it seems like auto next is basically like my MPC which it auto slices into equal parts as long as you have the correct tempo.

Am I missing something?.

Two things, I also have both the 404 and the ms-1. I'll keep them both. And I modded mine with the sample start foot pedal input. It works well.

Also after keygate sampling, can you still edit them afterwards?.

Can someone tell me the range of the "real pitch" adjust? If you sample a middle C how many semi-tomes above and below can you adjust to?
Thanks-
C

Ya I was confused- 12 half steps is an octave, so if you can tune it 24 half steps then ya 2 octaves- cool!!
