until noe i never used the 505 editor, i'm sure drewzle and phemox will help you.
the roland D2 is a strange and cool machine:at first it seems like "and now, what i can do with this weird orange thing?", but after trying it with some midi keyboards or sequencers it reveal is hidden nature: a scary little monster...

i have so far only used the 505 editor for creating patches. I am at work now but will invetigate your issues when i get home tonight.

which editor are you using? there's a few around...

and yes! the D2 is an amazing unit. it is currently the sequencer and multi-synth of my rig, it does it all!

Hi, Guys.
I use program Roland MC-505 Editor v 2.0.
I have understood yesterday preservation of options of the Computer editor on the D2.

At first it is necessary to save everyone 1-7 path separately in user path. Then of them to make Patern.
It is my way.
Can it is possible other variant of preservation at once in patern D2, options on PC. I yet do not know it.

Excuse me. I have just now seen that this forum is devoted Roland SP.
At me is SP555. There are some questions on its use. I am assured that SP has opened only a small part of the possibilities for me.
But about it later. As I have an instruction for it in Russian.

Me now interests nevertheless D2 more. =)
And at once questions:
How to appoint the sounds in D-Field and to define them on 8 different sites?
I have a manual in English, but I in him badly understand.

Hi Alexey

Glad you got the first part fixed. you save the patch from editor onto U__ user patches, then assign the 1-8 patterns' voice to the right U__ user pattern

make sure that Part Select is on the 1-8 track you want to play from D-Field.

then hit Adlib and play the D-Field

it isn't great this way - do you have a MIDI controller? it makes the synths much more playable!

At me is MIDI controller. I play sounds him on D2 and other modules.
The sound on D-field for playing arpeggiator is necessary to me during live performance.

New question.
How to play midi D2 on external sound modules?
D2 does not wish to play Midi in akai cd3000.
The same problem and with other modules connected to OUT D2.
Other modules without problems play on akai.
MIDI D2 IN&OUT job. Has checked up.

the pattern/channel must be set to Ext (External)

so, Select the Channel you want
then hit Pattern Select + Edit

then hit Enter til the last option and make sure it is Ext (or Bth if you want Both internal and external sounds)

by default every phrase/channel is set to Int-ernal

yes
play the d2 (slave) by putting its midi to EXT
play sound module/sequencer (or whatever) by the D2 (master) putting the d2 midi as INT

Thanks.
According to your advice at me it has turned out to adjust MIDI out.
It is a pity that options operate while D2 is switched on.
