Hello all, been a long time. since the last time i was on here, i had lent my sp-303 to a friend who has busted up a few extremely important buttons on my 303. it's been asleep for a couple years now.

i am now equipped with a 404SX, DX reface, and a powerful windows computer. i also mess around with vsts on my phone, and record to garageband, and impc2 pro. music making on the phone is a lot more fun than i thought. i have invested maybe 50-100 dollars vsts so far. (another story). i have got an MPC LIVE coming in the mail on wednesday.

my 303 remains to be basically unusable with pads 1, pad 5, the record button, the cancel button, and the delete button. these buttons have been smashed so hard repeatedly. i saw him do this one night, and trusted it wouldn't damage the machine, but it did.

i am pretty illiterate with MIDI technology. i am wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to send MIDI messages FROM the MPC LIVE ---> SP-303. i assume you can play pads this way, but can i also trigger buttons like the record button and cancel button, etc? that would amazing, if someone could steer me in the direction of this kind of action.

talk to you soon friends!

hi
for the mid to pad question i think that there should be no particular problems, you can easly find answers on the dedicated section on the manual
for the buttons...well, maybe it's more a question of cc messages or sysex, who knows...i never looked for that on the manual...
