We use Nagaoka roller on every record that hasn't been cleaned lately just before it sees the needle...or just a brush
Sometimes we have vinyl cleaning sessions with Knosti kit and lots of wine.
It's a boring job but those vinyls are too precious not to be taken care of.
Here a cellphone photo of ...

Re: from the 606 T'n'T: how to do multitracking on softs w 555
I'm not sure I fully understand your question.
As far as I tried my 555 as audio interface it was not working for multitracking. Let's say you have drum track recorded in Sonar.
Now we want to record bass guitar on another track.
Here comes the problem. If you set the audio source INPUT in Sonar ...

Re: anyone got some DRY real drumkits?
I have this Cakewalk Sonar V-Studio 100 audio interface and with it came so many goodies... one of them is STUDIO INSTRUMENTS Drums plugin
There are like 50 different drum kits (2GB) - all nicely ballanced, recorded in good rooms... I'm sure there is "try before buy" version. I was surprised how ...

Re: Been Looking for an Analog Synth
Also look for Roland JX-8P (or JX-3P). They should go for like 200-300 EUR. The synth itself is underrated just because it doesn't have hands on controls.
It needs separate programmer PG800 that cost as much as synth itself though you can hook up cheap Behringer BCR2000 controller and you have all ...

Re: Power Supply Question
Just make sure you use a PS with enough power. The one that goes with SP 555 is 9V 2A. So you look for one that is capable close to 2A (amps).
SP 555's book say that current draw is 800mA (0.8A) so it should be fine with 9V 1000mA PS but for how long.

No panic!
You deleted factory samples but not factory preset-patterns. Those patterns are now triggering your samples that are on the same pads that were the ones that were used on preset patterns.
I'd suggest few more hours spent on reading the manual. No hard feelings yo.

Re: midi interface problems
As much as I found out you must empty some cf banks so external sequencer wont trigger sounds stored on pads. Check in the manual which bank runs on MIDI CH10... I must say I didn't try hard to tweak 555 to force it in my MIDI rig. I use it for all other things except MIDI , though I succeeded to ...

Re: ROLAND JUNO 2
My Roland JX-8P doesn't have original power cord so I soldered on a cable from old TV set and insulate with some tape... it's been like that for years.
Power cord for Roland MC 909 is the same... that can be ordered probably without problem.

Re: Looping atmospheric sounds
Lets say your atmospheric pad is playing on pad 16...
Just before your sound comes to the end retrigg it with SUB PAD
If you can, edit the sample's start and end position by fading IN/OUT first and last 10ms of a sample.
