Trouble getting samples to playback

Nevermind, I forgot to plug the cord back into the output.lol

It works fine now. this thing is dope. I auto chopped up a bass line i was just messin around with to see if it would sample into 1/16 and
came up with an amazing bassline from the chops.

The way it chops it up is so cool because ...

Okay, I figured it out. I had to delete at least one of the pad banks. Now I can record new patterns.

It still seems strange though that 4 pad banks used up all the memory on a 256mb card. It appears that the previous owner copied the 4 stock banks to her memory cards banks 1-4. Maybe those stock ...

How Do I Delete Everything From Memory Card?

I just got my sp606 today in the mail and everything seems to work as far as I can tell. Except when I go to an empty pattern and press rec > play, it says "memory full".

I went into "card util" and tried deleting all the backup files, but they were all empty to begin with.

Then I tried ...

enossified,

Thanks, my computer is pretty slow, thats what I'm worried about. If it doesn't work out, my back up plan is get a used yamaha qy70.

96ppqn is really not an issue when dealing with samples of audio recordings, like most use in sequencers like the mpc, because most of those old ...

If all you want to do is sequencing , not audio recording, older computers will work fine.

Audio recording is what I want to do, within a software sequencing program like ableton.

I really can't judge until I get and try it with my comp. It should be here tuesday, then hopefully I'll be ...

I have ableton live 6 (Lite version) that I got with an old midi controller that I returned, but got to keep the software at least

The problem is that my computer is pretty outdated. Its a sony vaio laptop pentium III 750mhz w/ 128mb ram.

I'm going to first try to use the 606 as an audio ...

hXc,

yeah, I was talking more about using a keyboard and bending notes that way. Not really bending samples, although that would be cool

So, yeah, my keyboard has pitch and mod wheels, but I guess its best used for what it is - a sampler. I'm looking into adding a yamaha qy70 sequencer to go ...

Recording Pitch Bends and Modulation in the Sequencer

I just want to get some input from you guys on how you go about recording pitch bends and modulation into your songs on the 606, since the sequencer doesn't register these control changes?

I guess one way would be to leave out the notes you plan to pitch bend or modulate, then record them as ...

low resolution of 96 ppqn is not enough for my needs.

Actually I thought it wouldn't be too, but these kind of limitations are pretty easy to deal with, especially for example this 96 ppqn quantize resolution. But yeah, if it works for you, it works for you and if it doesn't, it doesn't ...

Thanks,

My concern is that I have a slow computer as it is. Its a sony vaio laptop, pentium III 750mhz, w/ 128 mb ram.

I wanted to avoid including my computer in my music with my next purchase of equipment, as I cannot tolerate any latency and/or freezes, etc. that come with a computer ...

Latency when used as audio interface/Humming sounds?

Hello all,

I am new here and this is my first post. I am hoping someone can help me answer a few questions.

I'm awaiting an sp606 that I just bought on ebay, and I've been reading up on it while I'm waiting for it arrive. I plan to use it as a sampler, but also as an audio interface to record ...
