Hey guys, this wasn't made on an SP (it was made on Ableton) but I just wanted to get some opinions. Its the second beat I've made like this and I wanted to know what people who listen to music like this think. The track is called "Hopper"

Good to know you can just sample by ear. Does anybody know anywhere other than Ebay that you can get a hold of a Used Roland SP-606? Anyone looking to sell?

Yeah the one track sequencer is a real turn off for me but you guys say there are ways to get around it? I'm assuming you are talking about resampling? Does that distort the sound quality at all? and can you individualize effects like say putting delay on the drums but not on the chopped up sample ...

Hey guys I'm new to these forums and I'm looking for my first sampler. I'm looking at the 303 the 404 or the 606. As of now I'm leaning towards the 606 because they're all pretty close in price (especially the 404 and 606; the prices on Ebay) and it seems to have the most features.

Yes, in fact, only the SP is allowed to do the chopping, no DAW or Audacity editing allowed. Not that this is such a big deal.

Remember, apart from having fun, it's also meant to learn your gear. (Your SP, whichever one you own.) I hope you join in too man.

This might be in the wrong place but what do you guys use to chop these samples up? Do you just use your SP?
