Re: External microphone
Yes I've tried using SP555 live with microphone in SP-555. I tried to sing through it. It's tricky and very hard to get the volume level between Mic and the music that you play from SP555. When you level up the Mic volume to adjust with the music/pattern/sample it gives feedback because you really ...

SP-555 Sucks as a MIDI Controller? Know before you buy...
A simple and common feature which is very important yet which is impossible to do in SP-555 is assigning MIDI notes.
One of the worst cons/demerits of SP-555 is that the PADS RECEIVE FIXED NOTES AND YOU CAN'T ASSIGN MIDI AS YOU WANT unless you use third part software or hardware. Even the fixed ...

When you use SP-555 as a controller for a module/synthesizer the pads receive fixed notes. For example if pads 1, 2, 3 ,4 and 5 will receive A, B, C,D, and F notes you cannot assign a different note. Maybe I'm missing something n the manual but I cannot assign the notes/signal that I wish to like ...

Assigning MIDI to SP-555 Pads...
Hi,
Has anyone find out a way to assign MIDI notes to SP-555 pads? Originally it was impossible to assign MIDI notes to the pads, it was fixed which made it very impossible to play Drums through MIDI cable from another module/synth.
Thanks.

Hi DJ Frantic,
Why don't you guys push Roland to come out with V1.04. I know you have some access to Roland.

Hi,
Thanks for your help but I still don't think SP555 is doing any better with the GOLD button:
1. For example I'm playing a loop in pad 1 and want to go to pad 2... unless I press both hold and pad 2 at the same time... the loops of both 1 and 2 keep playing.

D Beam Synth Sounds
Hi,
Is there any way to increase the D Beam Synth sounds? We have 8 Sounds and 8 effects preset. Is this a standard factory synth sounds for Roland's D Beam?
Thanx!
