When you use SP-555 as a controller for a module/synthesizer the pads receive fixed notes. For example if pads 1, 2, 3 ,4 and 5 will receive A, B, C,D, and F notes you cannot assign a different note. Has anyone find out a way to assign MIDI notes to SP-555 pads? Originally it was impossible to assign MIDI notes to the pads, it was fixed which made it very impossible to play Drums through MIDI cable from another module/synth.

Hi Schopper,

The MIDI signal in SP-555 pads are fixed. You cannot assign particular/individual MIDI to the pads as you wish. Very very very frustrating.

SP555 more live oriented...MV series Studio oriented. They are two different machines I believe. D-Beam may not help very much in recording but during live performance its very handy.
