Added some effect to spice things up a little

This is the first hardware sampler/sequencer I've used extensively, I've used an MPC 2000xl to sketch out a basic beat, but other than that all I've used previously is software.

Personaly I couldn't see myself using anything else, It does exactly what I want it to do, and well and all the features ...

1. At the moment I record direct into my computers cheapo onboard sound card, there's quite a drop in sound quality.

3. I plan to use a usb interface, I can get a cheap one for AU$70, or maybe just use my friends mbox once I've got a few tracks sorted.

Finally got an SP-404, these things are damn hard to find. Music store got some in on monday, and sold all but the one they held for me by Saturday. I'm glad I got then to hold it for me

Is there a built in mic preamp for mic input or is it line level?

I thought this would be a good idea for a post, what gear do you use with you SP-404? A short discription on how you use your gear together would also be nice

I'm considering getting an SP-404 to use with a DAW. The idea is to sample and produce loops on the SP-404, for the hands on approach, and then copying the saved patterns into a DAW to do the final arangements.
