I currently play live off a SP 404 and an MPC1000, and get a little irritated with both of the machines, so I have a few questions.

Does the SP555 save a sequence's tempo?

How good is the loop capture? (does it work like you want it to?)

And what are the effects like in a live situation ...

mmm i holding down mark and then turn on the power, for checking the version of my SP and it was OS 1.05 is it possibile?

mmmm... That's weird.. Maybe Roland is naming things non-chronologically?

Man, I wish I knew more about hacking and programming, I'd definitely try to sort this issue out ...

anyone updated their OS with this one? What does it do?

It would have taken them an extra 10 min to program a bpm save in.

It's pretty much the only problem I have with the 404.

Yo. I just created a last.fm profile for my band (3CPU) There's a new song on there called " Softly to the disko" that I'd like you guys to have a listen to.

There's a very minimal amount of Sp action in it, but I'm proud of it nevertheless.

I actually don't really sample loops. I'll sample a hit, but that's it.

Also, I mostly use a computer (obv with my 404, and other hardware, but whatever)

How do you fill up the MPC and 404? Do you make your own samples?

I find myself more and more recording synths to SP 555 as you don't have to worry about MIDI sync... DI boxes, outboard FX, volume levels...

I hope this is the future because I'm going this way too, though ...

Just wanted to show you guys a picture of my setup for my one band.

2x Kaoss pad Kp3's

MPC 1000 with jjos

Roland RH 200 headphones ( they got stolen )

and most importantly, the mighty SP 404

With my other band/thing, I'm minus the mpc, and I use a zoom drum machine and a mixer ...

Does the music have to be made entirely on an sp? I usually use sp-404, mpc-1000 and acid all together on one track.
