Today I was a bit bored. So I figured I'd make some beats. I am usually doing either ambient or electronica, but thought it would be cool to try the old beat stuff.
So I made three beats. Used under one hour per beat.
Made with Ableton Live, Walkman and vinyl.

Re: Flip cameras?
i have the kodak Zi8, and have no complaints. HD vid, external mic jack, 1080p recording. the zoom sucks, but otherwise it is great. you can also snag cellphone camera lenses (like wide-angle, fisheye) to give you more variety.
i use my zoom H2 as the mic for it sometimes. pretty cool.

A video of me playing my Monome
http://vimeo.com/17010243
My first monome video.
I am running:
Max/Msp with a little patch I made.
Ableton Live with an Operator patch I made and a grain delay.
I was inspired by the laptop orchestras Clix and made this.
No quantize. All human artifacts and fuckups are included.

Re: On guitars and sampling
this is what i always do: guitar to pedals, pedals to mic input. headphones to amp. works very good. you can just use normal jacks and use it like a pedal =)
