Funny you should ask about this since it was a my main workflow for a while. The Kaossilator was the only device I could think of where you can play it without the size of any keyboard getting in the way. Since you can't save sequences or songs- sampling was an obvious workaround.

Here's my ...

SP-555 Article from Producer's Edge

I popped on here a while back for more resources and research on the SP-555. The article is now live in the Digital Edition of Producer's Edge Magazine. And I have some loops processed through EVERY effect of the SP-555 as a download right inside the article.

It starts on page 17. Feedback is ...

Wow. I was in the same boat. I was looking for a multi-tracking solution and almost dumped the Sp-555 for a 606. Some of the other things I wanted to do- the 606 doesn't do either.

I use a pedal and start sampling/loop capture at the start of the measure no matter where I intend to start laying ...

I use a pedal for loop capture. There was no setting it up. I hit the Loop source to be external only and let my sequence run. Hit the pedal and loop capture/sampling starts, hit again and it stops. easy.

I'm using the Alesis pedal that came with my A6 so I'm sure any expression pedal would do.

Quite an impressive kit list.
The Micro BR is a new one to me. Had to look it up...nice...

At its core, the MICRO BR is a four-track studio with four simultaneous playback tracks and two simultaneous record/input tracks. However, there’s more to this recorder than meets the eye. Each of the four ...

Thanks.

Wow, I was actually considering what would happen if I combined the SP606 and 555 together and thought over-kill.

Thanks I'm having a blast. I'm actually writing my cheat sheet for exact buttonpress sequences to create an internal pattern and overdub additional phrasing from external input.

Thanks for the heads up. No, it's not an attack or taken as one. Philosophically speaking, when I first started making music, It was real keen to speed samples up for more sampling time...use enhancement techniques to improve a sound (layering, unision, detune, ghost samples/hits and such), but I ...

Yes and No. The magazine I work for is doing a special on drums and a groovebox/sampler is one of the options so I have an evalauation unit to work with for a few weeks.

I found this site looking for additional research resources.
I have a million functionality questions and I'm hoping the ...

Page 46 of the manual states:
