Thanks for sharing! Great concept! I love that it’s like an ADHD beat tape! Kindve collage-y but still maintaining some nice rhythms and the little interludes break it up nicely!

The aim of the community is to focus on music made with small, portable music making machines including, but not limited to: Pocket Operators, Bastl boxes, Korg ...

This is a beat tape I made using only a Roland P-6. It is basically what the title implies. 1 bar beats with various info or misinformation in-between. It is lo-fi (quality not the genre) and was made using samples from Instagram reels only. All "music" samples are from live performances, interviews ...

so.... i am fully aware of the differences between hardware and software (for anyone that doesn't know I used to run an all hardware setup - sequencer/multiple synths/sampler/drum machine/effects)...

...but does anyone have any advice for making the most of my current situation? :P

At the moment ...

He makes good music, no doubt, however I know for a fact that he uses a whole bunch of keyboards, MIDI controllers, samplers and external recording hardware a lot. He samples his sample stuff straight from vinyl records, you can't do that without proper hardware. ;)

He does now maybe...but then ...

I don't know ANY pro that makes beats with Fruity Loops or whatever other software-only program. They at least use MIDI controllers to operate the software, which is quite ironic if you think about it. But the real pros use hardware.
